Paying for care
When you're paying for care, you're in control of your own support—whether that means living independently at home or in a residential setting. This can include everything from personal care and shopping to cleaning and even gardening!
Most care and support services (over 90%) come from independent organisations, ranging from big companies to small charities. It’s important to understand all your options. Knowing what’s out there helps you make the best decisions and find the right support when you need it.
If you need help with day to day support needs, you can request a needs assessment from Wiltshire Council. They’ll assess if you qualify for funding, and if you don’t, they’ll guide you to other options.
At Wiltshire Centre for Independent Living, we’re here to help everyone. We can help you access the support you need. Our Direct Payment team can give you all the information and guidance you need—whether you’re looking to hire your own Personal Assistant or use an agency. We’ll tailor our advice to your unique situation to help you find the best support for you.
